Strengthening Communities ... One Green Job at a time!

Building Bridges from Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania) to Baltimore (USA)
Thanks to the visionary leadership of Amber Davis—BGJWC’s former Director of the Tanzania Initiative and a current consultant for our Building Bridges from Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) to Baltimore (USA) project—BGJWC successfully hosted two powerful transcontinental dialogues focused on green careers and climate resilience.
The first dialogue, held in April 2025, brought together green career professionals from Dar es Salaam and the DMV region (Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia) to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and explore opportunities for international collaboration in the green workforce sector. The second dialogue, hosted in May 2025, deepened this exchange by connecting everyday residents from Dar es Salaam and Baltimore in a community-to-community conversation about the lived impacts of climate change, local resilience strategies, and shared visions for environmental justice across continents.
These dialogues represent BGJWC’s ongoing commitment to fostering global solidarity, cultural exchange, and grassroots climate action between historically marginalized communities. Click the links below to watch the recordings of both dialogues.
